Meditation MethodsPeople around the world are turning to meditation for the good health of body and mind. Actually the health and happiness is within and not outside. At home it is very important for everyone, inside is the source of all peace, joy and power. For this meditation in a meditation on himself. Mediator, meditation and become a thought. In my previous article “Meditation is a journey inward” I described what meditation is. This article describes three methods of meditation.

1. Singing on behalf of OM is largely concentrated. Contagious saints of India realized that the sound vibration of OM is helpful to ponder the mind and body. The sound of OM has a close relationship with the interior. Like a good song is touch the heart so that the sound of OM is touching the inner self. OM is a prayer or hymn of self-determination. This is called Mahamantra (great song). For an OM chanting should sit in a lotus posture (Padmasana) with eyes closed. It should inhale fully and then sing aloud OM, but little by little until exhalation is complete. Sound is equally out of the nose and mouth. While singing mind should be kept in sound and sight or thought just because it is a meditation on himself. After half an hour of singing feels the concentration of mind and joy of meditation. The vibration of Om activates all cells in the body. All cells dance to the music of OM. Through this body and the mind is purified.

2. In the second, a method must sit in a lotus position with eyes closed. Then one must try to see at a point between the eyebrows and just above the nose. This point is called Trikuti. This is where everyone thinks. This is the capital of the mind. Hence the mind of all the commands of the limbs and organs. When the mind orders eyes see, walking legs, hands working.

The eyes and the mind have an intimate relationship. The eyes are the doors of the mind. Through the eyes is possible a study of the mind. So when one sees and focuses on Trikuti mind concentrates. This method is most effective if done after song of OM. Trikuti is a place of the outer mind. When you focus on a long journey Trikuti inwards inside. This can happen only after years of practice.

3. In the third method is based on a flat surface with Sukhasana face up, hands and legs outstretched. Then, keep the mind on the movement of breath (prana) through the nostrils. This method should be practiced after the chanting of OM. Since the body at rest is the movement of breathing slows. Since the mind is kept in mind also breathing slows. After half an hour counts slows down significantly in haults and Trikuti. There the mind and breath become one. Breathing is not simply a movement of air. It is the life force (prana) that moves through the nostrils. Therefore, gains control over the mind and Prana. From the mind and prana is omnipresent in the body, gains control over the mind, Prana and body. Therefore, one finds peace and happiness of the mind and body.
